East Devon international event rider Tim Rogers has got himself a magnificent sponsorship from Mole Avon Trading Limited

The company, which has three Town & Country stores in Axminster, Crediton and Okehampton, are major retailers of equestrian products in Devon.

Rogers won the individual bronze medal on his British Team debut at the Junior European Eventing Championships in 2010.

Prior to this he had been knocking on the door of team selection as a reserve for GB Pony Teams in 2007, reserve for the Junior Team in 2008 and short listed for the junior team in 2009.

He won his first one-day event at the age of six as a member of the Cotley Pony Club.

A few years on, aged 13, he qualified for the Pony Club Eventing Championships. He has since then had very successful time eventing on home produced horses and owners horses. In 2011 he won the Riding Club National Eventing Championships, and in July 2012 qualified for the Riding Club National Eventing Championships again.

Rogers was selected as a potential Olympic prospect by the World Class Development Program in 2008, and invited to be part of their program for future medal winners. He has remained on that scheme to the present day.

He runs ‘Tim Rogers Eventing’ from the family yard in East Devon where they have in excess of 20 horses and he regularly competes with multiple horses at major competitions and has proven to be successful at all levels up to Advanced Eventing.

His local branch of Mole Avon Town & Country Stores is in Axminster. The branch, in Station Yard, has recently celebrated the completion of its new-look store. The new design has greatly improved the appearance of the building with the addition of a new entrance and increased retail space in store, some of which has enabled it to increase the range of its equestrian products that it has to offer, making it the place to shop in the East Devon area.

Rogers has three horses that are being watched by the Young Rider Team GB selectors, and regularly has lessons with the Team GB trainers via the World Class Program, and having already won a medal, is a strong contender now next year.

The Axminster store manager Rosie Herrod says: “It is great that Mole Avon will be working with an event rider. The fact that he is local to our store is a bonus. We look forward to hearing updates on his work and wish him good luck in his forthcoming competitions.”

“We are delighted to be supporting a young, talented rider such as Tim,” says Alan Howland, Equine Buyer for Mole Avon: “We look forward to working with him on projects in the coming year including product trialling, reviews and testimonials and welcoming him at our in store equine events at our three retail outlets throughout the year.”
