Archant

The Honiton seniors’ Texas Scramble competition turned out to be a wet affair, writes Liz Rogers.

The early starters had the best of it, but somewhere in the middle of the field the greens started to get very wet, and so did the players!

There were a few nil returns, but most made it all the way.

Tony Williams, Peter Keith and John Ayland fared best with a score in the low 60s, followed by ALan Pollock, David Lee and John Kerr on 65.5.

Ron Graham, John Pawley and John Kerr came next, and the last prizes went to Jim Wallis, Peter Blake and John Vessey.
