Trio triumph in Honiton seniors Texas Scramble

There were 69 seniors that set out on a Texas Scramble at Honiton last Friday with some very good scores getting posted along the way, writes Andy Wagner.

First with 63.9 were Bill Phillips, Eric Short and Dick Rowe.

Second place went to Chris Street, Ron Graham and Larry Halliwell with a score of 64.2.

Count back was used to finalise third place with Bill Eaton, Bill Nicholls and David Lavender edging out the trio of Ron Armitage, Alan Devenny and Colin Hughes, who both carded total so 64.9

There were five two’s scored by Don Stroud, John Egerton, Mike Stroud, Bob Bilyard and Pat Purtell.
