The summer weather has continued, making for a very wet and slippery pitch, making ball handling skills quite a trial for both sides in what became an evenly-contested game.
With the Honiton lads working well as a team in both attack and defence they managed to edge the win.
Tries by Jamie Johnson, Ben Morris and Will Tyers 3, with four conversions by Louis Groves. Man of the match went to Will Tyers and James Fernandez
Tiverton U13s 17, Honiton U13s 36
Honiton achieved their first win of the season away to Tiverton on a cold and wet Sunday morning. Both sides played great passing rugby even though the conditions were not favourable. Honiton’s try scorers were Sam Phillips, Joel Gibson, Ben Phillips and Jack Katene, 3.
The three successful conversions were kicked by Ben Phillips, Joel Gibson and Jack Katene. Man of the Match and Tackle of the Day went to Joe Gillard for a fantastic performance.
