In partnership with the Woodroffe school the Uplyme Under-13s enjoyed a win in their first outing of the season.
Choosing to bat first they reached a total of 90-5 in their allotted 18 overs thanks mainly to the contributions of Daley Holmes (27 retired), Ben Prosser (19) and 35 extra’s!
In reply Cerne juniors started brightly and South African born Helstead soon reached the retirement score of 25 that included five boundaries. Max Helston and Jake Sweetland both bowled well, but it was left to Daley Holmes (4-10), Ben Prosser (2-9) and Rob Shepherd (1-13), to take the wickets and leave Cerne on 63-7 at the close.
