Upottery slipped to a single goal home defeat at the hands of South Zeal.
Despite a third defeat in four Division Three outings, the villagers boss Dan Prettejohn was up-beat post match.
He said: “I am not going to lose sleep over a game we’ve lost 1-0 but hit the frame of the opposition goal four times. That stat alone suggests there’s not a lot wrong with our approach, perhaps we need a little more luck in front of goal – or maybe they could make the goals bigger!”
Dave Sawyer served up the stand-out home performance for Upottery who are in cup action this coming weekend.
The villagers are again at home when they face Exmouth Amateurs in a Bill Slee Cup Third Round tie.
