Honiton seniors’ Masters success and green jumper for John VesseyThe annual Honiton Seniors Masters Championship was played in conjunction with a Stableford competition, writes Liz Rogers.
To qualify for the Masters competition players must have achieved first or second place in an individual competition during the previous season.
The best score was 37 points in each division. Chris Street won Division One with John Frith runner-up with 36 points.
Mike Ward, Peter Shepherd and Roger Matthews each scored 35 and were separated only on countback.
John Vessey won Division Two and with it the Masters Green Jumper. Tom Tunnicliffe scored 36, beating John Pawley on countback. David Lavender and Norman Runciman took the last two prizes.
