Virtual handicap race for Axe Valley Runners

The June version of the Axe Valley Runners 4K virtual handicap race was won by Sarah Whelan in 25m 20s. 
In a terrific race, Pam Goddard ame in second with a time of 24:26; Caroline Wiseman third on 26:51; Paula Cooke fourth 25m 56s and Andrew Hartnell fifth 19:13.  
In a clear demonstration of the quality on show and runners now fully immersed into the return of competitive racing, the top five all broke their personal best times for their own 4K route.  
Pam Goddard now leads the standings on 93 points, with a close battle ensuing between the next three places.  
Sarah Whelan is second on 86 points, Eleanor Wood third on 85, Shirley Salter is fourth on 84 and Jon Day fifth on 77 points.
