In an East Devon Senior Cup third round tie at the Furzebrake, Beer Albion were comfortable winners in a one sided game, beating Division 1 Lympstone 6-1, writes Mike Adkin.
Three goals from Richard Walker including two penalties plus a goal each for Seth Wakeley, Sam Phillips and James Melville saw the Fisherman comfortably through to the Quarter Finals. Melville was named the man of the match, with Walker also playing a starring role with his hat-trick and a hand in the other three goals.
Next up for the Fishermen this coming Saturday is a difficult looking first round, Devon Premier Cup Round tie, at home to St Martins, currently top of the Southwest Peninsular League Division One East. Kick off 2.00 pm, with the match to be sponsored by Jean Perkins.
