Having been a member of Honiton Bowling Club for 50 years, Wally Heard invited family and friends to join him in playing a round robin Triples match to celebrate.
The winners of the match were T Pipe, Y Rayner and B Adlem. (+17). In true round robin style, the lowest team were also congratulated and these were M Richards, W Heard and D Heard
Everyone enjoyed a cream tea in true bowling club tradition, and a draw took place with the proceeds donated to Honiton Hospice Care, the club's designated charity for this year.
In other matches: a Mixed Friendly match was played at Honiton against Wellington with all four Honiton rinks winning the final score was (98 - 49) to Honiton. Top rink D Goodwin, R Rogers, A Dredge (30 - 11).
On a sunny afternoon, Honiton bowlers travelled to Seaton to play a Mixed Friendly match. Honiton won (52 - 40). Top rink was J Mackintosh, C James, H Chambers, G Stafrace (23 - 8).
