Upottery were denied action by a soggy surface at Bridestowe.

With everyone else playing it leaves the villagers sitting second bottom with half way in the campaign reached this coming Saturday.

It’s a visit from Kentisbeare to complete the first half of the league season.

Upottery 2nds were beaten at home by two wickets by Shobrooke Park II. Tom Wyatt (29), Bruce Inglis (26) and Adam Pulman (25) all chipped in to a total of 134.

The Mid Devon visitors had just two wickets left as they sealed victory. Inglis completed a fine all-round shift with 3-27 and Shane Kennard took 2-17.
