The greens were slow after rain, but that did not prevent the winners of the Honiton seniors Texas Scramble scoring in the low sixties, writes Andy Wagner.
Mike Watts, Angus Falconer and Dave Beer took the honours with 62.4, followed by Alan Devenny, Tony Proudfoot and Bill Spice.
Close behind were Peter Shepherd, Ashley Murray and Fred Thomas and the last prizes went to Tony Williams, Ron Cooper and Clive Whitear.
Surprisingly, there were only two ‘natural’ two’s scored by Bob Milton and Bob Cleal who each collected two dozen balls.
