White and Pember land success in Axe Cliff seniors match

The fourth round of the Axe Cliff seniors’ winter league programme took place last Friday, writes Janet Dack.

On a bright, but breezy morning the final scores were remarkably close.

The winners in the final analysis were the captain, John White (21) and Sid Pember (20) with 34 points.

The pair collected the wine and Pember also recorded the lone two of the day.

Three teams netted 33 points; Malcolm Glass (19) and Mike Jamieson (25), Gerry Turner (11) and Charles Whitbourn (28) and Rob Heard (14) with Hugh Willis (22).
