Williams wins Ron Blatchford Trophy at Honiton

Sixty-two seniors competed for the Ron Blatchford trophy at Honiton, writes Liz Rogers.

The format was stableford and the winner was Tony Williams, who is having a very successful season.

He finished top of Division One with 37 points, beating Tom Tunnicliffe on countback to win the trophy.

Also in Division One, Jim Wallis and Ted Chandler had 35 points followed by Alan Pollock and John Vessey on 33 points.

Tom Tunnicliffe was top of Division Two and John Chew was runner-up on 35 points.

The last of the prizes were taken by Brian Morrison, Peter Blake and George Smith on 34 points.
