Wilson and Hubbard land Brian Abbott Shield win at Axe Cliff

Twenty-six members took part in foursomes for the Brian Abbott Shield, presented by the widow of the late Brian Abbott, writes Janet Dack.

Two teams outshone the others recording scores of 32 points and, on count back, the winners were Keith Wilson and Geoff Hubbard.

Nick Stanton and Phil Wilkins were the pairing edged into second place.

Third with 29 points were Mick Tomes and Hugh Willis.
