Yarcombe suffered their first defeat of the season and slipped to third in the table after a seven wicket loss to visiting Chelston.
Without doubt this was one of those games ultimately decided by which ever skipper won the toss.
Yarcombe were put in and Ben Fuzzard top scored with 26 in a humble total of 63.
After Fuzzard the next best was the eight from skipper James Mitchum. Chelston then used up 40 overs to labour their way to a seven wicket win.
On Saturday Yarcombe will look to return to winning ways when they visit Kingskerswell.
