Yorke and Seed set early pace in Lyme Regis Winter League Pairs event

Round One of the Lyme Regis Winter League Pairs saw some good scores with the junior pairing of George Yorke and junior vice captain George Seed setting the early pace with 41 points, writes Richard Jackman.

Close on their heels are Adam Neale and Nathan Turner and Peter Beviss and Bob Taylor, both with 40 points..

The ladies stableford saw a runaway victory for Jane Dixon, topping Division One with the highest score of the day, minus 37 points, from Felicity Poole 31 points and Gilly Madill 30 points.

Division Two was much closer as Rosemary Dare pushed Frances Sell into second place both with 34 points and Julia Coote, third, on 33.

Veronica Turner won Division Three with 33 points from Lucille Bannister on 28 points.
