SEATON WI has celebrated its 80th year with Christmas parties, lunches and carol singing - combining events with members from other areas.
Members joined in with 'Jerusalem' at a packed out congregation at the beginning of the service in Exeter Cathedral.
The club thanked outgoing president Mary Fone for four years of dedication, and welcomed new president Aimee Hoard.
The institute is inviting new members to join in 2009. Its next meeting will be on January 2.15pm, at the Methodist Church Hall in Seaton.
