There were hisses and boos aplenty during Seaton Panto’s production of Aladdin at The Gateway last week.

Audiences were treated to a spectacularly colourful show, featuring a large cast of talented adults and young people.

The show was produced and directed by Mary Bowles, assisted by Debbie Bradley and Francesca Mills Durston. The choreography was by Debbie Bradley and Mary Bowles, while the musical director and arranger was Roger Grose.

Mary Bowles said she chose Aladdin as it was one of her favourites, especially loving the colour the Oriental costumes brought to the stage.

Principal players in the show were Ian Waite (Widow Twankey), Lauren Weber (Aladdin), Caraleigh Bradley(Mandarin Princess), Ben Malone (Wishee Washy), Phil Christmas (Abanazer), Holly Stock (Spirit of the Ring), Mark Usher (Emperor), Milly Chaplyn (So Shy), Linda Stone (Jean Genie), Mark Mills Durston (Pong), Val Christmas (Wong), Debbie Bradley (Wun Lung Poo), Adam Tedbury (Cullen), Robbie Usher (Ghost), Rosie Manley (Harem Girl).
