An enjoyable evening, listening to fantastic choral arrangements and many soloists.

It is fantastic that the participants are supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, which as you may know are carrying out ground-breaking research. Congestion of the lungs is responsible for 90 per cent of deaths, and now the trust have identified the corrective gene, it is imperative that this research can continue. The trust are carrying out trials at the moment, which are going well and hopefully, in due time, this gene will be introduced to the CF sufferers lungs and make life more bearable and extend life expectancy. Babies are now tested at birth for CF, which means the CF teams have to tell unsuspecting parents that their beautiful new baby has Cystic Fibrosis, this research, if successful, will give these devasted parents hope for a better future and a longer life expectancy for their child. Please come and support the trust. Tickets are available from Ottery TIC, (01404) 813964 at 7.50, or contact Liz Brown of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Honiton, on (01404) 44043.
