After overcoming hazards brought by the recent bad weather, golfers in Lyme Regis have been struck by a new obstacle - horses.
The Lyme Regis Golf Club Ladies' medal competition was interrupted by horses invading the course and trampling over the fairways and some of the greens.
Member Ellie Langford said: "The panic to chase them off the course, just made matters worse because they broke into a canter leaving deep hoof prints on the already soft ground.
"The green keepers were in despair - their hard work to get the greens ready for the start of the season would have to be redone.
