The Rotary Club of Exmouth will be presenting Exmouth’s very own Last Night of the Proms Concert for the 16th year.

This year, musical director Steve Grant, of Exmouth Town Concert Band, will lead the concert and supporting guests include Exmouth Shantymen and soprano ‘Britannia’ Val Howels.

As in past years, there will be flags for all the audience and a Proms shop selling Union Flag hats, squeekers, etc to give the show that unique atmosphere that is so much a part of the evening.

These concerts were first started in 1995 by the Rotary Club of Exmouth for the 50th Anniversary of VE and VJ Celebrations and was a major sponsor for the flag poles and flags around the Clock Tower at that time.

Every year since the concerts have paid towards extra/replacement flags.

It’s your chance on Wednesday, September 14, to join in the old war-time songs - wave the flag - and really enjoy a great evening of Land of Hope and Glory.

Tickets at 7.50 and 8.50 are selling fast so contact the Pavilion Box Office at (01395) 222477 or visit www.exmouthpavilion.co.uk.
