Axminster Drama Club’s production of Jack and the Beanstalk opened on Thursday, January 14 to a receptive audience at the Guildhall, in Axminster.
With a cast of around 50 performers, working under the direction of Jack Price, rehearsals and set building have been under way since August.
The story follows the traditional tale of a giant in his castle, who is the owner of a magic harp and a hen that lays golden eggs, and the intrepid Jack, who climbs a beanstalk.
Tickets are on sale at Archway Bookshop, Church Street, Axminster, with performances set to run until Saturday, January 16, including a matinee on the Saturday.
