The work of a Royal academician will be on show at the Thelma Hulbert Gallery from Saturday, November 11.

Five ceramic wall panels by Bronwyn Williams-Ellis, an elected member of the Royal Cambrian Academy, have been selected for Present Makers 2017 at Thelma Hulbert Gallery.

The exhibition runs from Saturday, November 11 to Saturday, December 23.

Bronwyn is a member of Creative Coverage, which represents selected professional artists and craftspeople and was alerted to this opportunity by the organisation.

Co-founder Tim Saunders said: “It always gives us a buzz to help our members to exhibit.”

Bath-based Bronwyn is both an artist and highly skilled independent designer craftswoman.

An established ceramist, she creates individual and lively figurative and abstract ceramic panels.

The work is contemporary and somewhat Mediterranean in feel and explores enthusiasms for figures, landscape, history, architecture and archaeology.

Drawing and colour are integral to the pieces, creating both pattern and rhythm.

The panels are usually two dimensional and easily wall mounted.

Bronwyn also specialises in designing and making ceramic tiles for interior walls to commission and her tile work can be found in most books on contemporary tiles.

Each design for ceramic wall tiles is unique; with the emphasis on good drawing and composition, from a small tile panel to a complete room of tiles to suit the client and enhance the particular interior.

Bronwyn’s expertise and artistic ability enables her to offer you your own original and striking tile projects.
