Axminster Drama Club has completed its final rehearsals for its production of Mark C Bourne’s black comedy called A Better You.

Set in an unassuming local community hall, A Better You trainer, Cathy-Anne, is ready to enlighten and empower her latest audience.

Surely it’s just the start of another successful training session …

Unfortunately for Cathy-Anne, the five ladies who are attending may need a little more than enlightenment and empowerment as they each have their own issues and agenda.

Cathy-Anne’s resolve may be about to be severely tested.

Cue … a lack of toilet paper, the Girl Guides cupboard, an Elvis wig, a fire extinguisher, plenty of chocolate, lots of cups of tea and free bacon?

With a solid cast of seasoned performers in place, get ready for a few twists and turns, and maybe a little Cha Cha, in what promises to be an evening of comedy that will keep you on your toes and laughing all the way home.

A Better You opened on Thursday and runs until Saturday, October 1, at The Guildhall, Axminster.

Tickets are available from Archway Bookshop, Church Street, Axminster. Telephone: 01297 33595 (after hours: 01404 831089).
