THE next big thing in the art world could already be on display in Honiton at a new exhibition in the town.

Gallery Bel-Ami launched its new exhibition, the Really Affordable Art Show, last week to display the work of undiscovered artists to discerning art collectors.

The work, all original pieces, are priced to tempt buyers with the majority being under £100.

In collaboration with Peter Goodhall, himself a professional artist and tutor, Gallery Bel-Ami has brought together a group of artists that deserve acclaim.

Mr Goodhall: "We have a lot of real artistic talent locally and there are some artists who have not yet had the chance to show their work to its full potential.

"This show will be the launch of some really interesting talent and I very much hope that they will continue to grow both creatively and commercially."

Emma Ranson Bellamy, gallery curator said: "This could be a super opportunity for art lovers to pick up an unpolished gem or just to buy a piece of original art that will add something to their home, which they can enjoy every day - whatever the motivation."

The Really Affordable Art Show runs until Saturday, March 1.

The Bel-Ami gallery, at 38 High Street, opens from Tuesday through to Saturday, from 10am to 5.30pm.
