Rainbow Under Fives Playgroup has benefited from a donation from the Arts Cafe, for a music project.

Axminster Arts handed over a £100 to Rainbow Under Fives Playgroup for a music project.

Following its AGM, held on Wednesday, October 20, in the Arts Café, the presentation was made to committee Secretary Sue Mackay of Rainbow Under 5’s playgroup for their ‘Music is Fun’ project. The money was gratefully received and will be used to buy percussion instruments, which all of the children, including some with disabilities, will enjoy using in their music for fun sessions.

Sue Mackay said “If it wasn’t for the generosity of organisations like yours, we would only be able to provide the basics”.

Axminster Arts was pleased to be able to sponsor a project which encourages young children to foster a love for making music, which the organisation consider to be an important strand of the arts.

The presentation was followed by cheese and wine.

Axminster Arts was formed just over 11 years ago to further all forms of the Arts in Axminster and the surrounding area.
