The South West Academy Winter Exhibition features the best work by members of the South West Academy of fine and applied arts.

More than 160 visitors attended the opening of a new exhibition featuring South West artists at Honiton’s Thelma Hulbert Gallery (THG).

The South West Academy Winter Exhibition features the best work by members of the South West Academy of fine and applied arts.

The exhibition was opened by Councillor Andrew Moulding, chairman of East Devon District Council, who said, “I am delighted to open this selling exhibition, which features many diverse artworks showing the breadth of art across the entire South West region including Devon, Dorset, Cornwall and Somerset.

“Alongside the curator and staff at THG, I would also like to recognize the gallery’s fantastic team of volunteers who make all this possible.”

Phil Creek, artist and chair of the South West Academy, who sold out of all his artworks and prints on the first day, added: ““I would like to thank THG for all their support and delivering another great exhibition.

The exhibition continues until February 24.
