Some top names in the world of jazz will be performing in Dalwood

Lee Gibson and the Martin Dale Quartet will be the next performers to be playing at the Tuckers Jazz Club, in Dalwood.

Organiser Tina Mackenney said she was delighted to be able to book them for the gig on Saturday, May 5.

She said: “I heard Lee last year at Budleigh Jazz Festval and thought that she has just the personality and style of singing that we would all appreciate.

“So I was lucky enough to be able to book her for our May Jazz evening on Saturday, May 5 – this early date is the only one she could manage.”

Lee has been described as wold class and has appeared at the likes of The Barbican, The Purcell Room, The Queen Elizabeth Hall, The Fairfields Hall and Ronnie Scotts.

The Quartet is led by Martin Dale whose versatile technique and talented improvisations on tenor sax deliver an eclectic blues-influenced mix of modern mainstream jazz.

Early booking is recommended for the gig at the Tuckers Arms, which will start at 8pm. Tickets cost £10 and for more details visit www.dalwoodvillage.co.uk or visit 01404 831280.
