The Devon Wildfowlers & Conservation Association in partnership with BASC are putting on a day of rural pursuits and entertainment, for everyone interested in the countryside.
Topsham Councillor Rob Newby says, "This is the sort of thing there should be more of. Local people gathering together to enjoy and share their love of the Devon countryside, an opportunity for the community to delight in the sheer variety of activity that Devon offers, especially for young people. I am proud of the commitment and endeavour the local community can show when given the chance".
Anglers, conservationists, and dog lovers, will have a treat at the events and expert advice on show. Young shots and shooters will enjoy the expert tuition and competition clays with cash prizes. Wildlife enthusiasts will love the information and getting to know the various groups catering to their interests.
The Devon Wildfowlers and Conservation Association work in partnership with The Exe Estuary Partnership, The Exe Estuary Users Association, The Exmouth Nature Reserve Committee, The Teign Estuary Partnership The South West Wildfowlers Forum, and BASC. Together these organisations safeguard the natural habitat and protect public access. They work with youngsters introducing them to the heritage of the countryside.
BASC is the voice of its 127,000 members, promoting the well-being of the countryside and sporting shooting throughout the United Kingdom
