Exhibiting the abstract for Pecorama arts event
PUBLISHED: 18:25 06 October 2010
The third and final week of Peco Arts Weeks 2010 starts on Monday, October 11 and, entitled Painting & Applied Arts, promises to be a real humdinger.
It features widely diverse artists from Cornwall, Devon and Somerset, amongst whom there is Priscilla Trenchard, from Axminster, with her gentle abstract pictures as well as her exquisite bookbinding art.
Also from Devon, Hilary Arnold’s paintings explode in a riot of colour and shapes, and in contrast John Perkins will be displaying his beautiful wooden boxes decorated with fine marquetry.
Tony Pizzey, from Somerset, is showing some quirky masks and sculptures made from papier mache, and jeweller Jill Hutchings will be taking along some specially made pieces with model railway characters woven into her intricate and colourful designs.
The other top flight contributors are Andrea Stilwell, Edwina Broadbent, Andrea Rowbotham, Susan Walker, Patricia Gould and Lisa Jones, who certainly form a mouthwatering line-up for this exhibition.
The event will run at the Station Gallery, at Pecorama, Beer, from Monday October 11 to Saturday, October 16.
It will be open from Monday to Friday, 10am to 5.30pm, and Saturday, from 10am to 1pm.
There will be a free admission to the gallery and beautiful Pecorama gardens.
