The finishing touches have been added to Axminster Drama Club’s production of Spamalot which opened on Thursday.

Rehearsals for the show have been going on for some months with the group welcoming a number of new members to perform the different roles.

The plot is based on the quest of King Arthur to seek the Holy Grail but coming from the Monty Python team, there are plenty of laughs along the way.

Director Leigh Conley has led rehearsals and the backstage team has also been busy constructing the set and making the costumes.

The artistic team, which has a deserved reputation for high quality sets, has created the look of the show, which revolves around the legendary castle of Camelot.

The show is being staged at the Guildhall on Friday and Saturday, at 7.30pm and Sunday, October 1, at 2.30pm.

Tickets cost £12 and are available from Archway Bookshop and www.ticketsource.co.uk or via Axminster Drama Club’s Facebook page.
