A group of students at Axe Valley Community College will be presenting a show to the public next week.

Working with former student Marcus Wood, Jordan Buckland, James Windsor, Amelia Speers, Sophia Harris and Brooke Williams will each be taking a leading role in their own productions, with the support of the rest of the cast.

Many of the short plays have been inspired by real-life situations from the harsher side of society.

There is a story is about teenage discovery, one about a young carer who tries to fit in and a another about a man’s descent into homelessness.

One was about two young people who have greater feelings for each other than they care to admit and the final one is about the pressure of expectation.

Each performance is presented in a different way with mime, flash cards and other theatrical devices used.

Anyone wanting to see the public performance, on Wednesday, March 2, can get a ticket from Archway Bookshop, in Church Street, Axminster, at a cost of £5 per ticket.
