Hall to host art show

AN exhibition of works by local artists and craftspeople will be held in Kilmington Village Hall, Kilmington, near Axminster, on Saturday, May 30 between 10am and 4pm and Sunday, May 31, between noon and 4pm.

AN exhibition of works by local artists and craftspeople will be held in Kilmington Village Hall, Kilmington, near Axminster, on Saturday, May 30 between 10am and 4pm and Sunday, May 31, between noon and 4pm.

Anyone wishing to exhibit should contact Helen Shaw (01297) 631063 or Pauline Horwood (01297) 34633, as soon as possible to obtain an entry form. Entry forms will also be available from Hurfords Stores, Whitford Road, Kilmington.

Exhibitors will have the option of offering their items for sale (a 25 per cent commission on sales will be deducted.) Proceeds from the exhibition will go towards the upkeep of Kilmington Village Hall.

There will also be a preview evening, which will be opened by Dr Michael Morgan, who has offered a framed first print of one of his works as the raffle prize.

The event will be held from 7pm to 9pm, on Friday, May 29. Tickets will be on sale from Hurfords Stores, Kilmington, or by telephoning Diana Church (01297) 32417.) Admission will be £5 to include a glass of wine.
