Eagerly anticipated event will be staged over 10 days in the Mackarness Hall.

Preparations are in full swing for Honiton Art Society’s 2012 exhibition.

The annual event is eagerly anticipated by the society’s members, who number more than 100.

Being staged in the Mackarness Hall from September 5 to 15, visitors are welcome between 10.30am and 4.30pm daily.

The entry fee is £1 for adults. There is no charge for children.

Bay Associates, in High Street, are again promoting the exhibition.

Brian Wilson, the society’s secretary, is pictured with a painting which has been on display in the business’s window.

Honiton Art Society meets monthly at Awliscombe Village Hall, between 2pm and 4pm.

The next meeting is on Monday, September 17, when artist Sian Dudley will give a demonstration entitled Flowrs in Watercolour.

New members are always welcome. There is an admission fee of £2 for non-members.
