Cygnet Theatre Company will be bringing Strawberries in January to The Beehive at the weekend.

Described as a cinematic rom-com, live on stage, this fizzy concoction takes the classic ingredients of romantic comedy – love, humour, coincidence and fantasy- and serves them up with a surprisingly touching twist.

Avril Silk, who reviewed the play for Remotegoat, said: “My companion was reminded of the comedy series ‘Friends’ and the more I think about that, the more I agree. We were very impressed with the actors’ professionalism, teamwork and fast paced delivery.

“The set is attractive and easily adaptable and the whole production is stylish, with a very well-chosen sound track.”

The production will be staged at The Beehive, in Dowell, Street, Honiton, on Friday, May 25, at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £10 for adults and £6 for students and the material in the show is suitable those aged 12-plus.
