Final preparations are being made for Little Shop of Horrors in Axminster

Axminster Musical Theatre are into their final few weeks of rehearsals for their next production.

Little Shop of Horrors, which will be staged at Axminster Guildhall is a charming tongue-in-cheek comedy that tells the story of floral assistant Seymour Krelborn, a meek and dejected florist’s assistant who stumbles upon a strange and interesting new plant which he affectionately names “Audrey II” after his crush on his co-worker at Mushnik’s Skid Row Florists.

When Seymour pricks himself on a rose’s thorn he discovers Audrey II’s unquenchable thirst for human blood! As the carnivorous plant grows bigger and meaner, she offers Seymour unlimited fame, fortune and Audrey’s love.

But is he willing to do what it takes to get out of Skid Row, no matter the consequences?

Tickets for the show, which will take place from Thursday, April 19 to Saturday, April 21, with a matinee on the Saturday, are on sale Archway Bookshop, 01297 33595, or via www.ticketsource.co.uk/axminster-musical-theatre
