JURASSIC Folk's first anniversary night at the Grove certainly lived up

to expectations, with its biggest ever audience and a great performance from our invited guest, KTB.

She gave us self-penned songs about willow trees, fried green tomatoes, blue birds, indelible ink, elephants and honey, grandmothers and some lost-love songs, all presented with magical, sensitive guitar and her beautiful evocative voice.

She was supported by our usual great bunch of regulars and one or two

newcomers filling out the programme admirably, including Hickory, Mike G, Annie Bennett, Frances Lee, Anita Cotteral, Big Tim Burstall and inevitably Pete Arnold.

We all joined together at the end for a finale of a range of songs led by Katy to bring to a close our best ever

night.... so far!

The next meeting of Jurassic Folk is on Wednesday, June 18, at 8pm, at the Grove Nite Club, Seaton.

As usual everybody is welcome and admission is free.
