DEATH Backstage is set to open in Honiton on Friday evening.

The Honiton Players will be putting on the play for three performances over two days.

The comedy whodunit revolves around the dark deeds that take place backstage at Foxhaven village hall, a small fictional Devon community.

It is early February and the evening of the final dress rehearsal of their pantomime, Treasure Oasis, a tale of Arabs, robbers and princesses.

The play will be on at the Mackerness Hall, with doors opening at 7pm on both Friday, July 19, and Saturday, July 20.

There will also be a matinee performance during the Saturday afternoon, with doors opening at 2pm.

Tickets, at £6 each, are on sale from A Dimonds (newsagents) opposite the Mackarness Hall or from cast members.
