Prize-winning soprano singer to perform in Colyton

A PRIZE-winning soprano singer will be performing at St Andrew s Church, Colyton.

A PRIZE-winning soprano singer will be performing at St Andrew's Church, Colyton.

Laura Mitchell, winner of the Kathleen Ferrier song prize 2007, will take part in 'Concerts for Colyton' on Saturday, November 21, at 7.30pm.

She previously performed in 2008 and is back by popular demand.

Laura has been described as 'sensational' by the Guardian and 'magnificent, compelling and entertaining' by the Independent on Sunday.

Charlotte Forrest, who has broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and is a new artist on the Live Music Now Scheme, will be the accompanist.

The programme will include songs by English composers as well as Schubert, Da Falla, Rodrigo and Liszt.
