The Axminster Photography Group is holding a summer exhibition at the Arts Café from now until Saturday, August 20, entitled ‘Not Far From Here’

As the name suggests, it depicts local scenes. As the photo of Lyme Regis harbour (above) suggests, these images are of an excellent standard, which will appeal to both local people and holidaymakers alike. As well as the framed images on show, there are unframed images available too, at very affordable prices.

The members of the Axminster Photography Group are enthusiastic, practising photographers who use both colour and monochrome.

The group grew out of a traditional camera club which had the aim of helping members to raise the standard of their work. The intention of the group is to stretch members in new directions, both from a technical and an artistic point of view. More information can be found at www.axphotography.org.uk

The exhibition is being staged at Axminster Arts Café, The Old Courthouse, Church Street, and the opening hours are Monday to Friday 9.30am – 3pm and Saturday 9.30am to 2pm.
