The exceptional Nashville singer/songwriter Robby Hecht stops off in Lyme Regis as part of his international touring commitments.

Robby Hecht is one of Nashville's leading lights and has quickly established himself as a truly original voice of new America with thoughtful songs blended with glorious melodies.

Robby Hecht's music represents a return to the early '70s golden era of acoustic pop where thoughtful, well-crafted lyrics were blended with timeless melodies to impact mainstream music and culture. Robby first began writing and performing while attending The University of Wisconsin-Madison, developing and pairing his soulful voice and unique finger-style guitar.

Marine Theatre Creative Director Ian Stephens said: "The first time I heard Robby I was sure I'd put on a long lost CD by the great James Taylor. Robby has the same haunting, penetrating voice, natural pacing and memorable songs."

He will be at the Marine Theatre today (February 3), at 8pm. Tickets cost £10, available from Lyme Regis Tourist Information Centre.
