Seaton Testudo Players are now well into their rehearsals for the latest production, The Rude Rector.

The story is based on a true story of the Reverend Harold Davidson, who caused quite a scandal in the 1930s.

A spokesman for the group said: “Our director, Michael Redston, adapted and wrote the musical which is a very clever, funny, ‘tongue-in-cheek’ version of the events.

“The music and script will have the audience tapping their feet and giggling throughout. The cast of 30 is made up of all ages from 5 to 60+, and features some very ‘colourful’ characters!

The Rude Rector is being staged at Seaton Town Hall, from Wednesday, September 14 to Saturday, September, 17. Tickets on sale now from ‘Seatons Voice’ Box Office at the Town Hall.
