Sailing boats, comedy nights and fundraisers in East Devon

Many events happen across East Devon, and here are just a few.

The next meeting of the Axe Valley Branch of the Devonshire Association will take place on Wednesday, October 18, at 2.30pm.

It will feature an illustrated talk by Ron Howell of the South West Marine Archaeological Group called ‘To Sail No More - the story of a West Country Ketch.


Axminster Drama Club will be hosting a comedy night at Axminster Football Club on Saturday, October 14, starting at 7.30pm.

Featuring a number of comedians tickets for the event, which is for over-18s only, cost £12 and include a chilli.

The Friends of Honiton Library are holding a special coffee morning on Saturday, October 14, from 10am to noon, to celebrate Libraries Week.

There will be tea or coffee and homemade cakes, and a book character Treasure Hunt, with prizes, for the children.
