Sunny skies hope for fair

The Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin, better known as The Minster, will be hosting its May Fair again this year. The aim of the event is to raise funds for the church in Axminster and its upkeep.

The aim of the event is to raise funds for the church in Axminster and its upkeep.

The May Fair this year is on Saturday, May 1, on the Minster Green, starting at 10am.

There will be lots of stalls including a cakes, books, plants, tombola and refreshments, including light lunches, which always prove popular.

Organisers are planning for Karizma Majorettes to perform at 11am, and are hoping for this sunshine to continue. Should it be wet, the fair will move into the church.
