UPLYME Ladies Group is hosting a talk by Shelterbox in aid of the charity.

The event will take place in Uplyme Village Hall on Monday, March 15, at 7.30pm

Member Paul Wyon-Brown said: "We would like to raise as much money as possible for this worthwhile cause and hope as many people as possible will come along.

"Shelterbox is particularly relevant at this time with the latest disaster in Chile, where they will be supplying aid."

Shelterbox responds instantly to natural and manmade disasters by delivering boxes of aid to those who are most in need.

Each box supplies and extended family of up to 10 with a tent and essential equipment to use while they are displaced or homeless.

Entry to the event will be by donations and refreshments will be served.
