Horticulture is an interesting topic for keen gardeners

Musbury Garden Club’s second talk of 2017 will take place at the village hall at 7.30pm, on Monday, February 27.

Roger Platts, the well-known garden designer, highly respected plant and nurseryman, and five times Chelsea gold medal winner, will give an illustrated talk on simple garden design and an insight into how RHS judges carry out their job.

Refreshments from 7pm. Non-members £2.50.

● On Thursday, January 19, a talk was given to the Axminster and District Horticultural Society by Mr Terry Underhill.

The subject was ‘From Mountains To The Garden’.

The next talk is on the Thursday, February 16, at 7.30pm and will be given by Mr Spence Kingdon and entitled ‘Talks With Humour - A Boy On The Farm’.

The talks are held at 7.30pm, in the United Reformed Church Hall, Chard Street, Axminster. Members admitted free (non-members £1). Further information, contact Jayne 01297 598292 or David 01297 32196.
