Updated pantomime in All Saints

Members of All Saints Pantomime Society are busy rehearsing twice a week for their next production, which this year is to be Sleeping Beauty.
This pantomime was last performed by the society in 2005 from an original script by Jo Ellis.
It was very popular with audiences so, 12 years on, Jo has updated her script and it is hoped it will be even more popular second time around. All the usual characters are included with Steve and Rita Holt playing King Edward and Queen Wilja respectively. Their daughter, Beauty, is played by Olivia Verplancke.
The cast also includes an alcoholic midwife, a palace courtier with a personal problem, and panto wouldn’t be panto without a Dame – namely Dowager Damson played by Tim Pedder.
All of the above are complemented by, amongst others, a group of beautiful fairies – some more geriatric than others – plus a very grumpy fairy who carries out the wicked deed on poor Beauty.
This year, the show is produced by Janet Verplancke and Jo Ellis, with Liz Pedder providing the music.
The show will be performed at All Saints Village Hall from Thursday, February 2, to Saturday, February 4, at 7.45pm.
Tickets are available from Anthea on 01460 221088 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
She will also be at the January Breakfast Fayre at the village hall.
Alternatively, they can be purchased at the village hall from 7.30pm to 8.30pm on Mondays and Fridays.
Ticket prices for Thursday and Friday are adults £6 and children £3.
The tickets for the Saturday performance are £6 for both adults and children alike.
